Keeping images alive for years to come...

I want my art to bring back happy memories of bygone times, of nostalgia, so it creates a permanent happy memory of what we no longer have.  It's a privilage to be able to paint, so that every time you look at a piece of my art, you smile and think of happy memories.   My art is in private collections around the world and I have done many commissions,  from sell-out solo exhibition at the Dunmore Festival in County Galway Ireland (where my family are from) to bars in New York / Minnesota / Rodeo drive!

Take a browse through some of my art, at your leisure ...

and please feel free to contact me to ask any questions?

What my customers are saying :

I would highly recommend Johns art, I have bought many from him over the years and his Irish touch is wonderful and looks great on my walls.  My Irish family always comment on his work when visiting us.

COMMISSIONED ART:

Many thanks for your interest in my work.

Should you require me to commission a piece of artwork, it would come with a white core textured mount fitted ready for framing at an agreed size.  If required I also do professional framing.

My terms for a commission are as follows:

Once the subject matter for the commission is agreed between myself and the client (you).   I would require 50% of the commission fee payable in advance.  Which is non refundable should you decide not to take the finished art work on completion.  Once accepted from the images I would send to you.   We would then discuss  upfront full payment, the shipment and packaging of your commissioned painting.

I should point out that I have never had a commission refused by any client on completion.

YOU WOULD ONLY OWN THE ORIGINAL WATERCOLOUR PAINTING AND HAVE NO COMMERCIAL RIGHT TO REPRODUCE ANY IMAGES OF THE PAINTING IN ANY FORM.  ALL THE ARTIST RIGHTS WOULD REMAIN WITH ME THE ARTIST JOHN O'ROURKE UNLESS I HAVE GRANTED YOU WITH WRITTEN PERMISSION TO DO SO.

The total cost of a commissioned piece of art would be discussed and agreed upon upfront and in writing.
